James joins Poachers

Poachers joint boss Matt Hocking says he's delighted to have signed Boston United midfielder James Reed on loan.

Poachers joint boss Matt Hocking says he's delighted to have signed Boston United midfielder James Reed on loan.

The 18-year-old will spend a month at Tattershall Road.

Hocking said: "He's a great addition to our squad and if things go well we might be able to arrange for him stay beyond the initial month."

Pilgrims manager Graham Drury believes Reed has a big future at Boston United.

He told bufc.co.uk: "He simply needs games at this moment in time. It will do him good to play 90 minutes on a regular basis over the next month.

"I can really see him pushing for a first team berth when he is back."

Reed is the latest in a number of players from higher grade football to have been loaned to Boston Town in recent weeks.

Full back Ryan Leggett has made a very favourable impression and has now been joined by fellow Lincoln City youngster Rob Taylor, who made his debut against Peterborough Northern Star on Saturday.
