Field upset by "amateur" Pilgrims

Former Poachers defender not wanted at York Street

Jason Field has dubbed Boston United "amateur" after finding out he'd been released by the club on Twitter.

The left-back spent much of the season at Tattershall Road, first on loan, then moving permanently before being re-signed by Graham Drury.

Field had an impressive spell with the Poachers, scoring four goals in 25 appearances.

His future is now uncertain after being released by York Street boss Dennis Greene along with five other players.

Field was unhappy about how the learnt of the decision, tweeting: “Wow finding out you’ve been released by twitter #amateur.”
