Daryl Clare signs for Poachers

Veteran striker comes to Tattershall Road

Daryl Clare has agreed to join Boston Town.

The former Ireland Under 21 and B international twice won the Conference Golden Boot award and was also voted Conference Player of the Year in 2003-04.

Now 35, Clare started his career as a teenager with Grimsby Town and went on to enjoy sucess with clubs including Boston United, Chester City and Burton Albion.

He resigned as manager of Louth Town last month.

Poachers boss Nathan Collins says he's delighted with his new capture.

"He's a great signing for us. As well as playing up front, he can also play in the hole off the strikers," he said.
