Stats overview 2013-14

Simon Ashberry takes a look at the facts and figures of the season

Boston Town used a remarkable 47 different players in the 2013-14 season.

It's not a club record - the Poachers have previously been through more than 50 in a single campaign.

But it is a reflection of the major overhaul which Nathan Collins has put in place since taking over as manager at the end of October, with the club in the relegation zone.

Goalkeeper Ricky Drury made the most appearances, with 43 - he missed just three games all season. Four other players made 40 or more appearances - Loz Lambley (42), Luke Wilson and Lor Borbely (41 each) and Nick Jackson (40).

Drury, Wilson, Borbely plus Ollie Pinner and Michael Wood were the only five players who featured in the starting XIs of Town's first and last games of the season.

Josh Ford was the top goalscorer with 17 - despite leaving for Spalding in January. The next three leading marksmen were Borbely (seven), Matt Kennedy (six), Jordan Nuttell (five) and Daryl Clare (five).

Boston Town statistician Simon Ashberry said: "It's certainly been a dificult season but the prospects for 2014-15 are very positive.

"The form table for the second half of the season puts us in eight position, within touching distance of big spenders like Spalding and AFC Rushden & Diamonds."
