Poachers announce new stadium sponsor

Tattershall Road ground to be named the DWB Stadium

Boston Town have agreed the biggest sponsorship deal in the club's history.

They have signed a contract with DWB Timber Engineering for the naming rights to their ground.

The agreement will see Town's Tattershall Road home rebranded as the DWB Stadium.

The announcement comes as the Poachers have also revealed they have finally signed a new lease on the ground.

The 20-year lease, which has been backdated to 2011, gives the club the opportunity to apply for ground improvement grants.

Club chairman Mick Vines said: "These are two fantastic pieces of news for Boston Town.

"The club has been somewhat in the doldrums over the past couple of years. The uncertainty over the future of the ground didn't help but now that we've ironed out all the legal details and signed a new lease, we can really look forward to exciting times ahead."

The sponsorship deal with DWB and the new lease coincide with the club's 50th anniversary celebrations which will be taking place during the 2014-15 season.

Mr Vines said: "We're thrilled to have DWB on board. It's by far the biggest sponsorship deal in the club's history and puts us on a much better financial footing than we've had for quite some time.

"Nathan Collins has also really improved results on the pitch so things are looking much rosier all round."

Founded in 1986, DWB Timber Engineering supplies engineered timber products to the building industry and has design and fabrication plants located in Essex, South Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

Steve Pinner, managing director of DWB in Boston, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Boston Town.

“With the ground lease now secured, the club can drive forward with its plans and proudly develop a facility to be enjoyed not just by the football club, but the town and the people of Boston too.

“We see exciting times ahead for the club and we are delighted that we can be a part of that.”
