Beck is back

Hotshot Alex comes back to the DWB Stadium

Boston Town have re-signed striker Alex Beck from Deeping.

Poachers boss Nathan Collins said: "We're delighted to have him on board. He's a proven goalscorer at United Counties League level."

With Jamie Coulson, Jordan Nuttell, Lee Wattam and Matt Kennedy also in his squad, Collins is confident he will have plenty of firepower at the DWB STadium next season.

Beck scored 34 goals for Boston in his previous spell from 2010 to 2012. In his second season he was top scorer with 18 goals despite leaving the club in January.

He will be particularly fondly remembered by Town fans for scoring both goals in their 2-0 friendly win over Boston United in 2011.

The 23-year-old came through the youth ranks at York Street and played for United's first team aged just 17.
