Heading for Nirvana

Leicestershire-based side are new league opponents 2014-15

Boston Town will be heading for Nirvana next season.

No, not the Buddhist spiritual state of mind or the grunge band but Thurnby Nirvana.

The Leicestershire-based team are new to the United Counties League after winning the East Midlands Counties League.

They were formed by the merger of Leicestershire Senior League club Thurnby Rangers and youth outfit Leicester Nirvana as recently as 2008.

The full make-up of teams in the UCL Premier Division is as follows:

AFC Kempston, AFC Rushden & Diamonds, Boston Town, Cogenhoe, Deeping, Desborough, Eynesbury, Harborough, Harrowby, Holbeach, Huntingdon, Long Buckby, Newport Pagnell, Sileby, Oadby, Peterborough Northern Star, Sleaford, Thurnby, Wellingborough, Wisbech, Yaxley.

Spalding have been promoted to the Northern Premier League Division One South and three teams have been promoted from Division One - Oadby, Eynesbury and Harrowby. With S&L Corby being relegated but Long Buckby reprieved, it brings the league back up to 21 clubs from last season's 19.
