Dan Barrett resigns as boss

Shock announcement following win at Long Buckby

Boston Town manager Dan Barrett and his assistant Carl Foreman have left the club,

They announced their shock departure following today's 2-1 victory at Long Buckby.

Dan cited "non-footballing reasons" for stepping down.

"Our decision hasn't been an easy one and we have thought long and hard over our decision," he said.

"We wish the lads all the best for the future and I hope they succeed and the club ends up where it deserves to be."

The club thanked him for his hard work during his tenure at the DWB Stadium. Since taking over in September from Nathan Collins, who resigned from the post because of a back injury, Dan has brought in several new players and steered the Poachers to a comfortable mid-table position.
