Lori hails his`lions`

New manager is full of praise after 5-1 victory over Desborough

Lori Borbely has hailed his Poachers side after they overcame the setback of an early sending off to hammer Desborough 5-1.

Shane Clancy was shown a straight red card just five minutes into Borbely's first game in charge since taking over following Dan Barrett's resignation.

But a hat-trick by debutant Ryan Oliver plus second half goals by Tim Lowe and Aaron Eyett gave the Poachers their bggest win of the season.

"My boys fought like lions," said Borbely.

"They were brilliant, they put everything in and gave 120%. At any level if you play 85 mnutes with 10 men and score five goals that shows great character."
