Boston Town 2, PNS 1

Poachers return to winning ways

Boston Town moved up to 11th in the United Counties League table after ending a run of seven games without a win.

An own goal set up this welcome victory over in-form Peterbrooguh Northern Star, with Matt Kennedy netting in the second half before the visitors managed a late, late reply. Scroll down to see how the action unfolded:

FINAL WHISTLE - Relief all round for Poachers fans as they hang on for a deserved win despite that late scare.

GOAL - The visitors pull one back in injury time - surely not heartbreak again for Town?!

80 mins- Close! PNS keeper George pulls off another save to prevent Lee Orrey from making it 3-0.

Approaching the last quarter of an hour and Lori Borbely will be desperate for his side to hang on for what would be a first win in seven matches, particularly after they let slip a 2-0 lead at Holbeach recently to draw 2-2.

66 mins - Nick Jackson is stretchered off - he's been in the wars a lot this season.

GOAL! 48 mins - You beauty! Kennedy makes it 2-0 with his first goal since returning to the club.

HALF-TIME - Lori Borbely will be very happy with a 1-0 interval lead against a side who are unbeaten in six. By contrast, Boston haven't won in six.

44 mins - Matt Kennedy close to doubling the lead as he forces a good save from PNS keper George.

GOAL! 30 mins- Moyes heads past his own keeper to give the hosts the lead.

Some early chances for the visitors, who are in good form at the moment. No Beck again tonight for the Poachers but Ryan Oliver is back in the side after missing the trip to Yaxley.

Town: Doughty, Stainfield, Jackson, Wood, Pinner, Field, Eyett, Kennedy, Orrey, Oliver, Wattam, subs: Mckue, Warren, Clancy, Clare.
