As well as juggling his roles as player, manager and director at Boston Town, Lori Borbely has been training hard for the London Marathon.

Lori ran the Lincoln Half Marathon in 2007 but this will be his first attempt at the full distance of 26 miles and 385 yards.

He says he's aiming for a time under five hours in the race, which takes place on Sunday 26 April.

Lori is raising money for the VICTA charity which helps blind and partially-sighted children.

The popular Romanian took over as manager at the DWB Stadium for the rest of the season when Dan Barrett stood down in February.

Lori said: "Training went very well until three weeks ago when I was hit with a virus for seven or eight days which slowed me down but I am back at full speed again now.

"It is definitely much harder than I thought it would be - but I'm enjoying it and I'm determined to finish it!

"I do have a good following, with support from family and friends mostly who will be cheering me on so hopefully I will not disappoint."
