Poachers v Pilgrims

Friendly against Boston United is moved to Saturday 11 July

Boston Town's friendly against Boston United has been brought forward to Saturday 11 July.

It will be the first time the two sides have played each other for four years.

Admission for the fixture at the DWB Stadium in Tattershall Road will be £6 for adults and £4 concessions. The club's fully licensed bar will be open on the day.

The rivals have not met since 2011 when an Alex Beck double saw the Poachers beat the Pilgrims 2-0.

The two sides have only ever played one competitive match - in the FA Cup in 1970.

More recently the Poachers have hosted several pre-season games which have attracted crowds of up to 1,000.

Boston Town have won two of their last three encounters - beating United 1-0 in 2007 as well as that 2-0 victory in 2011.
