N Sileby Rangers 4, Boston Town 1

Poachers slip to eight in the table

Mark Angel's side continued their rollercoaster form as they slumped to a disappointing defeat to Northampton Sileby Rangers.

The Poachers had the chance to move back into the top three against a Sileby who had been without a league win so far this season.

But a penalty set the hosts on their way to a comfortable win against a weakened Boston Town side, with goals either side of half-time making it 3-0.

The Poachers were without regulars James Doughty, Danny Stevens, Terry Fleming, Alex Beck and Matt Kennedy. Young Joe Ashton was in goal, with Kieron Doherty making his debut in an unfamiliar line-up.

Lori Borbely pulled one back with 30 minutes left to give the visitors a flicker of hope but Sileby added a fourth later on.

*Tuesday's scheduled game at Deeping has been postponed as Deeping are playing an FA Cup replay against Leek instead.

Town: J Ashton, Lambley, Parker, Ford (Basker), S Ashton, Field, Eyett, Doherty (Jensci), Battersby, Borbely, Wightwick.
