Holbeach 1, Boston Town 2

Poachers celebrate a stirring win in Lincs derby

Boston Town seem to be saving their best performances of the season for local rivals Holbeach.
Having thumped them 5-0 in the county cup in September, they inflicted another defeat on the Tigers - this time in the league.
Holbeach were unbeaten in 14 league games, having lost only once all season - and that on the openng day of the campaign.
But Jack Wightwick scored a spectacular first goal after 17 minutes before Simon Ashton put the Poachers 2-0 up on the hour mark. Gary King halved the deficit but Mark Angel's men held on for a famous victory as ex-poacher Ollie Pinner was sent off int eh closing stages.
This was Holbeach's first home league defeat since they lost to Sleaford in March.
Town: Doughty, Lambley (Borbely), Field, Fleming (Parnell), Wood, S Ashton, Eyett, Ford, Beck, Nuttell (Moore-Papworth), Wightwick.

Here's how the action unfolded:

The final whistle goes and Boston have snatched all three points!
Into the closing stages and Mark Angel's men are holding on for what would be a stirring victory...
1-2 - Now here's a real test of Boston's nerve as Holbeach (who are riding high in second place in the table, remember) pull one back
0-2 - Well, well, the Poachers have doubled their lead!
HALF-TIME - And the away side go into the break a goal to the good, despite Holbeach being generally on top
0-1 - Town take the lead with a cracking effort into the top corner!
