Mark Angel is manager of the month

Boston Town manager wins United Counties League accolade for November

Congratulations to Mark Angel who has won the United Counties League manager of the month award for November.

The Boston Town boss steered his team to four wins in a row, scoring 16 goals in the process.

He's the first Poachers manager to win the award since Bob Don-Duncan left the club.

Mark said: "It's a fantastic achievement but the players deserve it, not me. They have given 100% effort."

He added that his side had played some fantastic football during their unbeaten run.

Those four consecutive victories were all the more impressive given that they followed a winless sequence which had stretched back to September.

Mark is well known to Boston football fans after playing for three seasons at York Street, helping United to win promotion to the Football League in 2001-02.

The former West Brom and Oxford United winger took over as manager at the DWB Stadium in May.
