Nathan Collins resigns as manager

Boss steps down after five consecutive defeats

Nathan Collins has resigned as Boston Town boss after just five matches of the season.

It's understood the players were told that behind-the-scenes issues were the reason for the resignation - but a spokesman said club officials were baffled to hear this.

The Poachers have endured a woeful start to the season. They've been knocked out of the FA Cup and have lost all four league games so far, leaving them rooted at the foot of the United Counties League table.

The Poachers' next game will be Saturday's league visit to Wellingborough. Next Wednesday (31 August) sees Boston at home to Harrowby in the league cup, KO 7.45pm.
