Today marks the 40th anniversary of arguably the best win in our club's history.

It was on 6 November 1976 that Boston FC beat Bangor City 1-0 in front of a crowd of 453 at Tattershall Road.
Phil Scothorne's winning goal clinched victory in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round tie against the Welsh side, then one of the top non-league clubs in Britain.
That stunning win earned FC a place in the 1st Round Proper for the only time in their history - and two weeks later they went on to that famous day when they went close to shocking Barnsley before succumbing eventually to a brave 3-1 defeat.
Throughout this month we'll be commemorating the feats of that historic FA Cup team.
And later in the season we're planning a reunion event to mark their achievement.
As well as inviting the surviving members of the team who were involved in 1976 FA Cup run - sadly Dennis Beatson and Tony Weighell are no longer with us - we'd love to get in touch with other ex-players from that era. So if you played for Boston FC in the late 1970s or early 1980s, please get in touch with club historian Simon Ashberry using this email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
