Poachers end the season with a goalless stalemate

Boston Town battled to a commendable draw in their final game of the season.

Josh Warner and Lucas Sparrow were given rare starts, while Lori Borbely also made a welcome return to the side after injury.

Assistant boss Gary Edgeley was delighted with the way the Poachers frustrated Deeping, who finish as runners-up in the United Counties League.

The visitors did have chances to win the game but found home keeper James Lambley in sparkling form - culminating in a superb late save to tip a goalbound effort over the bar.

Richard Ford had a commanding game after dropping into central defence and the young Boston side also looked threatening at times, with Aaron Eyett and Loz Lambley looking lively in midfield.
